This measure aims to prevent risks of assault, harassment, or cyberattacks.<\/span><\/p><h2>Origin of the Reform<\/h2><p>This provision follows several <strong>recent incidents<\/strong> that highlighted the vulnerability of publicly exposed executives. Cases of identity theft, targeted harassment, and home intrusions have been reported, especially after sensitive decisions or commercial conflicts. The decree of August 22, 2025, addresses the growing need <strong>to protect privacy<\/strong> in an increasingly risky digital environment.  <\/p><h2>What the Decree Provides<\/h2><ul><li>The executives concerned are:<ul><li><strong>Legal representatives <\/strong>of companies,<\/li><li><strong>Partners with unlimited liability<\/strong> (SNC, civil companies).<\/li><\/ul><\/li><li>They can request the <strong>confidentiality of their personal address <\/strong>in:<ul><li>The Trade and Companies Register (RCS),<\/li><li>Company documents,<\/li><li>company registration certificate<\/li><\/ul><\/li><\/ul><h2>Practical Modalities<\/h2><p>The request is made through <strong>the business formalities office<\/strong>. It is processed by <strong>the clerk of the commercial court <\/strong>within 5 working days. In case of no response, the executive can refer to t<strong>he judge assigned to monitor the register.<\/strong>  <\/p><h2>Restricted Access to Personal Address<\/h2><p>Only certain entities can access the personal address:<\/p><ul><li>Judicial, tax, and customs authorities,<\/li><li>Partners and creditors,<\/li><li>Judicial police officers,<\/li><li>Administrations authorized by the Commercial Code.<\/li><\/ul><h2>And for Individual Entrepreneurs?<\/h2><p>They can exercise a r<strong>ight of opposition<\/strong> to the publication of the address of their main establishment if it corresponds to their personal residence.
